MHPI Program For Archival Collections
The archival system currently in use centers around the Better Light scannning back and is mounted on a TTI motor-driven copy stand (left), all operated by a Windows PC. It is different from the Museum system in that the copy stand allows papers, books, and other manuscript items to lay flat while the camera makes an image from a fixed position above on the column. The museum system uses a tripod to make images of objects mounted on a wall or a special 3-D object stand.
